We had so much fun on the last day of term!
We created some crazy recipes and used our multiplication skills to find fractions of our recipe. Some were great, some were...different!

Freaky Fractions!
Yesterday we began to learn about Fractions. We started our learning with a great Kahoot. The Kahoot had a range of questions that required us to use our Fraction knowledge.
Today we began working in groups to fix any gaps that we had and answer any questions from yesterday.
We specifically worked with equivalent fractions.
Here is a You Tube video which might be helpful if you are struggling.
This image shows clearly, how the fractions remain the same.

Transformations In Real Life Math Project
Math homework for week 9. Your homework for this week is to create a presentation of some kind which shows examples of all of the different types of transformation...
If you find any examples of Tesselation, it would be great to have some photos of those also!
Here is an example of what you presentation may look like. You do not have to create a video. It is up to you. Try to be creative and use a new site or app. Remember that this is due on Friday.
If you are unsure of any of the areas, try playing some of the games in our math symbaloo at the bottom of our class blog.

Summarising
Today we spoke about summarising. When looking at our responses on Actively Learn, some of us are unsure about summarising. We seem to put in too much detail and not identify all of the main points, so we have all had a turn using the Chrome app, Video Not.es. Have a look at our blogs and see how we went....

Decimals
Today we began working on adding and subtracting decimals. This is a bit tricky for some of us. If you need more practice, make sure that you watch the videos again. Miss Garland feels a bit geeky doing this, but she thinks it might help you to remember and visualise when you are working with decimals.

CyberSafety
Today Room 17 watched this video. We were shocked! None of us would be happy saying this to someone, so we would never write it online. Watch it and let us know what you think.
We also watched this video. This one is a bit funnier! But the message is just as important. We are all online and have a lot of access to the internet so we need to think carefully about what information we share.
